Visit of Vice Admiral Dimitrios Eleftherios Kataras, Chief of the Hellenic Navy General Staff
Vice Admiral Dimitrios Eleftherios Kataras, Chief of the Hellenic Navy General Staff, is on an official visit to India from 16 to 19 February 2026, aimed at strengthening maritime cooperation and bilateral ties.
Vice Admiral Dimitrios Eleftherios Kataras had bilateral interactions with Admiral Dinesh K. Tripathi, Chief of the Naval Staff, and senior officials of MoD focused on furthering maritime engagements including joint operations, capacity building, joint training, and other issues of professional relevance.
Vice Admiral Dimitrios Eleftherios Kataras paid tribute to fallen soldiers by laying a wreath at the National War Memorial. He also visited the International Fusion Centre for Indian Ocean Region (IFC-IOR) at Gurugram.
During his visit, Vice Admiral Dimitrios Eleftherios Kataras will attend the International Fleet Review and MILAN 2026 at Visakhapatnam.
