Navantia has signed a new contract with the Royal Thai Navy to modernise two Pattani-class Offshore Patrol Vessels whose systems need to be upgraded.

Navantia will carry out the engineering, supply, and integration of a new combat system, the core of which is the CATIZ, a high-tech system developed by Navantia Sistemas, as well as other advanced systems from other manufacturers. Additionally, Navantia will provide lifecycle support documentation and ensure training in the operation and maintenance of the system.

This is the second contract Navantia has signed with the Thai Navy in 2025, reinforcing the position of the in the Southeast Asian market. In April, Navantia was awarded the modernization of an LPD ship. The company had also built the HTMS Chakri Naruebet (911) aircraft carrier, the flagship of the Thai fleet.

This new contract is proof of Navantia's excellence in naval defense systems, modernisation projects, and high-value-added services. It reaffirms Navantia's commitment to delivering state-of-the-art solutions and supporting the strategic needs of its partners.
